~forget about the sunshine when it's gone.

Sorry about the lack of uploads these past few weeks. It was a crazy month on studying, presentation and assignments.

Well, another sunset. Getting back to the mood of paintings. Still trying to get the hang of lighting and colour.

Also, I just got a new monitor and had to re-calibrate a lot of settings. So I'm not exactly sure if it's accurate or not.

It's a beautiful painting, and could not have improved any more beyond its current condition. But I guess that is not a proper response to a critique request.

The sky looks a bit...dry. Somehow, even with the awesome clouds, it lacks a bit of 'gloss' an actual sunset has, in an innate sense that the transition from sun to dawn is more fluid and smooth. But it's a nice, stern effect, and I would not suggest changing it.

The trees are shaded in some odd places where the light doesn't go all the way, but perhaps it's because they're trees.

All in all, it looks magnificent. Possibly even more so with a Fluttershy in the foreground. Keep it up! :)

I think most of :iconcosmicunicorn:'s critique on [link] applies. For example make more darks.
I made a crappy paintover with mouse and DA muro to show you how it will look with darker darks: [link] :blushes:
